The 2014 Culture Personality Awards Ceremony was inaugurated at the China Culture Center in Benin on July 25. Nearly 300 people attended the ceremony. Nine awards were bestowed.

They covered literature, movies, music, drama, dance, visual arts, best female singer, best male singer and African culture star of hope, which was given to people who have made great achievements in these fields.

Director Bai Guagming delivered a speech and many members of the media covered the ceremony.

The Benin government has been providing funds every year to support artists and cultural activities. The 2014 Culture Personality Awards Ceremony shows that the government attaches much importance to cultural development. It also means cultural influence of the Chinese Culture Center in Benin will be expended and is conducive to cultural cooperation with Benin.
