Zhejiang folk dancing in Basel impresses audience

Chinese intangible cultural heritage Baiyelong (leaf dragon), a dance form that involves dancers using a dragon made of lotus petals during a performance, was in the spotlight at the ninth Military Music Festival in Basel, Switzerland from July 14-28.

A folk dance group from Changxing, Zhejiang province, was invited by the Swiss Federal Defense, Civil Protection and Sports Ministry to participate in the festival.

Since 2006, the annually military music festival has been held in Basel, Switzerland. It ranks as the world's second-largest open-air military music festival.

In addition, Zhejiang Changxing troupe also participated in the Street Parade and Mini Tattoo performance in Freiburg on July 24.
