Translation center shares the world with Chinese culture
The launch ceremony
The promotion center for the translation of Chinese cultural works was established in August 2013 to promote Chinese books and films.
Kurt Beidler, vice-president of Amazon China suggested at the ceremony that in order to better disseminate Chinese culture abroad, China should improve the quality of English translations of Chinese books.
Highlight: The center enables to make full use of the resources from the government, writers and translators to promote Chinese culture abroad. All the programs at the center enjoy state funding. The translations include Chinese history, arts, ethnic cultures and classic novels.
