Qu Opera performed at Tianqiao Theatre in Beijing

Actors perform the Qu Opera, a folk art derived from ballad singing of Henan Province, on the stage at the Tianqiao Theatre in Beijing, capital of China, Oct. 13, 2013. The opera, adapted from "A Dream of Red Mansions" written by Cao Xueqin in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), was put on the stage on Sunday. (Xinhua/Li Xin)
