Australian film The Great Gatsby, adapted from F.Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name, will hit the screen in China on August 30.
The film was directed by Baz Luhrmann. Its premiere was held in Beijing on August 28.
Recent years have seen rapid growth in Australia-China cooperation in the film industry after The Australia-China Film Co-Production Treaty came into force in late 2008.
“The Australian Government strongly supports the growing collaboration between the Australian and Chinese film and television industries,” said HE Ms Frances Adamson, Australia’s Ambassador to China, who attended the Beijing premiere along with Baz Luhrmann.
