Held by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Sichuan Province and UNESCO, the International Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Chengdu, China (IFICH) is currently the sole festival with the theme of intangible cultural heritage in the world. Its aim is to promote the protection of international intangible cultural heritage. IFICH is held every two years in Chinese Chengdu. The first festival was held in May 2007.
