Recently, the 11th China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair was held in Jingdezhen, East China's Jiangxi Province. Shanghai Long Museum and Jingdezhen Royal China Yuan Hu Tang held a joint reference to release the "chicken up" in Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln on Oct. 20, 2014. The production process of "chicken cups" was revealed to the public afterwards.

It is reported that Liu Yiqian and his wife, founders of the Shanghai Long Museum, won the bidding of the doucai "chicken cup" from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) at a price of HK$ 281 million ($36 million) at Sotheby's spring sale on April 8, 2014. The bid set a new record for a piece of Chinese porcelain sold at an auction.
