The masterpieces of a renowned Chinese craftsman have gone on display in Beijing. Ding Shaojie is presenting about fifty of his best ceramic works at a solo exhibition at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities.

Ding Shaojie is a pioneer in making traditional Crack Ice Glaze Celadon with traditional skills that are nearly lost, and his works have been collected by many museums in the country. Ding has been making celadon works since he was 17, and has gained fame as a master craftsman in Longquan County, a place famous for the craft.
