"Returning Home", the first original opera of central China's Jiangxi Province, is staged on the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing on April 18, 2014. It tells a heartbreaking story of a Taiwanese veteran who unswervingly returned home. The story reflects millions of veterans' endless homesickness. To demonstrate different figure's characters and achieve the prefect performance, each artist had to spend at least one-hour in makeup on backstage before performance. (CNS/ Liu Zhankun)
