No 8: Suzhou, Jiangsu Province(江苏苏州)

Suzhou in Jiangsu Province is a city of rivers and canals, as well as gardens -- hence its nickname "Venice of the Orient." The city is famous for its amazing natural beauty and exquisite gardens.

Suzhou received high marks in terms of living environment, gaining the city a third place. It is a perfect place for foreigners to live. Its administrative environment, however, its government support for starting businesses, salaries and promotion opportunities, should be improved, according to survey respondents.
