Eighth Asian Children's Art Exhibition opens in Dalian
The 8th Asian Children's Art Exhibition was launched at the Dalian Museum on July 15. The exhibition is organized by the Liaoning People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and jointly hosted by the Dalian Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Dalian People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It aims to create a platform for friendly exchanges between young people from various Asian countries and regions and to enhance mutual understanding.
This year's exhibition is themed "Together - Friendship - Future". After months of collection and preparation, a total of 240 paintings from Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Japan, Republic of Korea and other countries, as well as from Liaoning province, Hong Kong and Macau are on display.
The works on display have a wide range of topics and rich content. The vivid paintings showcase the young people's desire to work together and create a better future, attracting many people to come and take photos of the exhibition.
The event also allows children from different countries and regions to meet each other through their paintings and start an "art dialogue".
"The work I painted is called The Dazzling and Colorful Light of Winter Olympics, which is about our Olympic athletes going to the Winter Olympics." Fu Ran Luoxuan, the second prize winner of this year's exhibition, said, adding that through this exhibition, she can learn more from children from various places.
Li Xikui, vice-president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said in a video speech that he expected the youngsters to use their brushes to draw bridges of mutual understanding and spiritual connection for Asian countries and regions to learn from each other, to gain friendship and grow together. He expected the children to become friendly messengers of promoting cultural exchange and mutual appreciation of civilization.
Since 2015, the Liaoning People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries has held seven consecutive Asian Children's Art Exhibitions, bridging the gap between young people in Asia.
