Child vaccinations available throughout Indonesia
For the protection of children from the COVID-19 epidemic, the vaccination of children aged 6 to 11 can be carried out in all regions and cities, said Siti Nadia Tarmizi, director of the communicable diseases department at the Ministry of Health.
The Sinovac vaccine will be primarily used for children. According to Nadia, in order to speed up vaccination, Indonesia will prioritize the use of the Sinovax vaccine, which is designed to provide a second dose to the vaccinated over the age of 11, and also to children ages 6 to 11.
