China-Russia women’s events launched in Moscow

A chinese women delegation of over 80 people attended the Seventh China-Russia Women’s Culture Week and the Fifth China-Russia Women’s Forum in Moscow. The theme was women’s roles in environmental protection, ecological safety and tourism.

Chen Zhili, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress and president of the All-China Women’s Federation, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. She remarked that China and Russia’s comprehensive and strategic cooperative partnership is experiencing positive, healthy and steady development, mutual trust has been strengthened, and cooperation in various fields has advanced in every way.

Chen pointed out that the cultural week itself was an important platform for communication, particularly on women-related issues, to promote women’s exchanges, cooperation and friendship.

At the closing of the forum, Chen and Vice Chairperson of the Federal Council of Russia Svetlana Orlova signed the Consensus on the Seventh China-Russia Women’s Culture Week and the Fifth China-Russia Women’s Forum.
