3. 《夏山图》 Mountains in the Summer Days

Introduction: Cloud, mist and thick forests make the background a little bit mysterious and intriguing. The villagers and livestock express a sense of country life and natural beauty of the villages.

4. 《龙宿郊民图》 Villagers in the Longsu

An oil painting by late artist Chen Yifei features a woman playing bamboo flute.

Size: 156 x 160 cm

Venue: Taipei Palace Museum

Introduction: This is a picture filled with happiness and joy. Framed by craggy peaks, the right side shows a small valley leading to the back of hills; while the left side is a river running toward a distant place. Several people on the bank are dancing, singing and beating a drum.

5. 《洞天山堂》 Hidden Temple in the Mountain

An oil painting by late artist Chen Yifei features a woman playing bamboo flute.

Size: 183.2 x 121.2 cm

Venue: Taipei Palace Museum

Introduction: Dong Yuan wrote the name “洞天山堂” (Hidden Temple in the Mountain) on the top-left of the painting. Thick moist, flicking trees, and a clear stream vividly create an environment where the hidden temple is located.
