Chinese Children pay gratitude to front line fighters of COVID-19
The international Children’s Day-themed “Growing up with motherland” ceremony was held in Beijing on the evening of May 31. The activity held online was jointly organized by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (SCLF), China Welfare Institute and National Centre for the Performing Arts of China and supported by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. Children participating in the activity were awarded and had a great day.
Teenagers from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Sichuan and Hainan provinces participated in the creation of the programs focused on scientific and strict epidemic prevention measures. Through the ingenious time and space conversion, the children provided a journey full of dreams, curiosity and friendship.
When the COVID-19 broke out in the spring of this year, the Chinese people worked as one to protect the country. At the ceremony, originators turned heroic stories in the epidemic into vivid lessons, guiding children through entertainment to better their lives. Children expressed their childlike interests through various ways to fight against the epidemic, and paid respect to the heroes of the epidemic.
By shooting vlogs, the children from SCLF Peace Angle Arts Troupe recorded their diaries on Children’s Day. They said: “This is also a gift for our parents, brothers and sisters. We know that you are more than just our loved ones. In the fight against COVID-19, you are doctors, nurses, soldiers, police officers, volunteers, and so on. Thank you for everything you have done for us.”
