The Green Mountain Zoo is a public protection area with more than 300 species and 8,000 kinds of animals. With the worsening of COVID-19 in the midst of March, the zoo closed, as did other zoos in Thailand.

During the closure, animals rested and at the same time workers repaired and cleaned zoo facilities, making preparations for eventual reopening. The zoo also produced a live show, Zoo to Your Home . After the zoo reopened, the live show is being broadcast once a week.

Stepping into the zoo, a line of electric mobile bikes is placed on the roadside for visitors. Workers said riding them is a new way of touring the zoo, which is effective for reducing contact with people and animals, ensuring the joy of the visit and people’s safety, as well.

Safety notices can be seen everywhere in the zoo, and at the entry of every stadium, disinfectant is provided for visitors.

With the exception of high-risk venues, such as bars, nightclubs and karaoke bars, most of the country's venues have reopened.
