Singapore Chinese Culture Centre holds international arts festival
Singapore international Arts Festival for Children and Youth was held at Singapore Chinese Culture Centre from Aug 4 to 9. The theme of the festival was cultural and artistic exchanges of China and Singapore,
More than 1,000 participants from China and Southeast Asian countries participated in this event, presenting programs including vocal music, instrumental music, language, dance, performance, calligraphy and painting, highly praised by judges and guests in Singapore.

At the opening ceremony, local art groups in Singapore performed group dances to express the wish of longevity of the Sino-Singapore friendship.
The festival is one of the series activities of Time Star International Children and Youth Talent Contest in ASEAN countries under the framework of “Belt and Road”.

At present, in order to respond positively to the Belt and Road Initiative put forward by the Chinese government and promote the artistic exchanges of the youth between China and other countries, especially along the lines of the initiative, the organizing committee of the festival has set up pre competitions in 25 provinces and cities in China, and has established long-term cooperation with different educational institutions and art organizations in 18 countries and regions around the world, holding regular competitions, visits, ceremonies, performances and conferences.
