Forum on China-Africa cultural heritage protection opens in Beijing

A forum on China-Africa cultural heritage protection was held at the Beijing Yuyang Hotel from Sept 23 to 24. More than 30 senior officials and experts from 18 African countries met with about 20 Chinese officials and experts from the Ministry of Culture and State Administration of Cultural Heritage. At the meeting they exchanged views and experiences about the policy of cultural heritage protection and sought international cooperation.

The purpose of this conference is to implement the content of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Action (2013-2015): “Strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the preservation of cultural heritage and hold China-Africa Cultural Heritage Preservation Roundtable in due course and promote the signing of government cooperation agreements in this field.”
