The Beijing International Book Fair has closed with just under 26-hundred copyrights traded.

This is close to a 25-percent increase over last year.

The five-day book fair attracted exhibitors from 78 countries and regions, trading copyrights on various books.

The Qingdao Publication Group has received 20-thousand orders for a book of photograpy covering the Long March.

Luan Xin is the deputy mayor of Qingdao.

"We hope that Chinese books can be sold abroad, high-end cultural works can be available around the world, and can be recognized by the publication industry in other countries."

The annual Beijing International Book Fair is the world's third largest book fair behind only Frankfurt and London.
