Cross-Strait Youth Celebration has held in East China’s Fujian province. College students from Taiwan and the Chinese mainland are invited to enjoy representative Chinese cultural legacies such as tea art, Kung-fu, and opera, performed by masters from all over China.(ecns.cn)

Elsewhere, Chinese martial arts are presented in the form of the Fujian opera. Now performing is the monkey style. The performer says the monkey style doesn’t belong to the traditional repertoire. So he choreographed the routine to showcase his own style.

Huang Dongmin, Fujian opera performer, said, "I’ve blended in elements of dance and martial arts. It’s a new routine of my own style."

In the crafts display area, students are experiencing unique local traditions and delicacies, a surprising revelation of the cultural heritages found in daily life. Jasmine tea, for example, made in the same way for centuries.

More than 2000 young visitors have taken part in the Celebration. Organizers hope it’s made them more in touch with own heritage.
