Yuanmingyuan Garden, or the Old Summer Palace, is going to hold an exhibit in Paris in late September this year featuring models of its Dagongmen Gate district and 12 rosewood pieces.

Among them, the 12 rosewood models are being made based on their original patterns according to the historical materials from the Qing Dynasty at a proportion of 1:25. The numbers represent the scale of architecture in Yuanmingyuan Garden.

The exhibition will feature pictures, videos, models, copies of cultural relics and digital multimedia to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sino-French ties.

This is within the garden's "Yuanming Chongguang" cultural program, which started in 2012 to showcase Yuanmingyuan Garden and promote traditional Chinese culture.
