On June 11, the 18th three-day Aqin Aytis Fair kicked off its second day in Aletai, Xinjiang.
On the Argonne Ghet grassland in Burqin county, people compete in different events from Aqin Aytis to performing with folk instruments, and from wrestling to ethnic costumes competitions.
“Aqin” means “singer” and “Aqin Aytis” means “a singer of plays”. Aqin Aytis is an ancient Kazak form of folk art.
