The Luan River Source

It is a boundary river between Hebei province and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Its original name means “a winding and narrow river” in Mongol. After the Water Diversion Project from Luanhe River to Tianjin City was finished, Qian Zhengying, former Chinese Minister of Water Resources identified the river as the one of the resource rivers of Luanhe River after doing some research here. Hence its name.
