Recently, a group consisting of 55 Thai-Chinese teenagers came to Gansu province to learn Chinese language and handwriting, practice Tai Chi and worship Confucius. The group visited the Maiji Mountain in Tianshui county, the Gansu Museum and Gallery of Chinese National Learning, experiencing Chinese traditional culture and classic literature. Zhuang Xiuqin, leader of the group, said Chinese is now popular with Thais, especially mothers in ethnic Chinese families. They take the mother tongue more seriously, Zhuang said, and there are more and more students learning Chinese in Thailand. [Photo/ Chinanews.com]
