CSCLF Young Inventors Awards Ceremony held in Guangzhou

The awards ceremony of the 11th CSCLF Young Inventors competition was held in Guangzhou on Aug 16, 2015. Among the attendees were CSCLF Vice President Jing Dunquan; Cao Xiaobin, vice secretary of the China Invention Association; Peng Linji, president of the Clifford Group and Clifford Group’s Vice President and General Manager Meng Lihong; Chen Kaizhi, vice director of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation; Li Shuqing, former director of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Guangzhou and Han Hongguang, director of the judges panel.
Now in its 11th year, the CSCLF Young Inventors competition has become a platform for creative young people to show their skills, potential and wisdom, and plays an important role in developing their creative skills and scientific awareness.

Jing Dunquan, vice president of CSCLF, said in his speech that science and technology are fundamental to national prosperity, and innovation is the soul of national progress. A national pursuit of scientific advancement is the driving force of development, while people who dare to seek scientific aspirations will have a fantastic life, he added. He also encouraged all the participants to be strict in their studies and personal development, to be part of the Chinese Dream, and to enrich their lives with their scientific pursuits.
To give participants a better understanding of the selection process, Cao Xiaobin, vice secretary of the China Invention Association, was invited to explain how the entries were examined, reviewed and selected.
