The China-ASEAN Young Artists competition kicked off in Heshan, Guangxi autonomous region, on July 22. The categories included instrument performance, language performance, dance, and singing. Of the 43 programs by local youth, seven gold medalists and several silver and copper medalists participated in the quarter-final in Nanning in early August.
