4. Nezha Conquers the Dragon King (1979)
The film is an adaptation of a story in Chinese mythology about the warrior deity Nezha, who became a student of the immortal Taiyi Zhenren. The main part of the story revolves around Nezha's conflict with Ao Guang, the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea. He hates Nezha because he killed his third son Ao Bing. At last, Nezha finally breaks into the Dragon King's underwater palace and successfully defeats him.
Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, directed by Wang Shuchen, Yan Dingxian and Xu Jingda is the first wide-screen animated feature produced in China, wining the best animation film in the third Hundred Flower Awards in 1980.
