The overseas “Happy Chinese New Year” activity, organized by the Ministry of Culture, other departments and more than 20 provinces, was one of the most successful cultural promotion and public cultural diplomacy events in recent years. It celebrates Spring Festival, the greatest Chinese traditional festival and it presents cultural connotations and customs through a series of activities. Among them were floral parades, plaza temple fairs, art performances, thematic exhibitions, folk arts exhibitions and Chinese film exhibitions.
