Fengtai earns eco-awards for ongoing garden expo

Fengtai district of Beijing was honored for its ongoing China International Garden Expo at the Chinese city rankings awards ceremony on Sept 26.

In addition to giving an award to the district for the innovative ecological project of the year, the ceremony also announced the Top 10 ecological tourism cities in China selected by Web users around the world.

Guiyang, Weihai and Xiamen took the first three places.

The ranking campaign begun by China Radio International in May received more than 14 million votes over the Internet, nearly 80 percent of them from overseas.
