Modern dance’s freedom of expression and often abstract themes set it apart from other dance genres. And this year's Beijing Dance Festival has showcased exactly that kind of diversity.
With a focus on training, international exchange and free expression, the Beijing Dance Festival starts with a week-long international dance camp following five days of performances. "All River Red", is a signature piece that depicts the direct confrontation of the old and the new.
The festival is co-organized by BeijingDance/LDTX, the Guangdong Modern Dance Company, and Hong Kong’s City Contemporary Dance Company. It runs until July 26th at the People’s Liberation Army Theater.
