By Air

Shaoxing does not have its own airport. The nearest airport is Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH), which is about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) away in Hangzhou. It could easily be a transfer station for your trip to Shaoxing. Arriving at this airport, you could then take the shuttle bus to Shaoxing. What's more, there are daily flights to Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau, Guilin, Kunming and Lijiang. International flights to Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore and Bangkok are also available.

The shuttle bus stops at Jinghu Hotel in Keqiao Town (about 10 kilometers from Shaoxing City) and the Dynasty Hotel on Shengli Road in Shaoxing City. The whole trip costs over an hour. If you are pressed for time, taking a taxi may be a better choice. It takes just around 45 minutes.

By Train

The Shaoxing Railway Station is not a large one. It is located on Chezhan Road, Ring Road North and can be reached by Bus No. 1, 2, 4, 7, 30, 35, 303 and 30. In this station, trains to and from the main large cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xian are available. It takes about one hour and a half from Shaoxing to Ningbo, about one hour to Hangzhou and two hours and a half to Shanghai. There are more than 20 trains heading for Ningbo from Shaoxing Railway Station with an irregular interval within 2 hours. There are 5 trains heading for Hangzhou with an interval of 2.5 hours to 4 hours. In addition, there are 7 trains to Shanghai that stop at Shaoxing Railway Station with an interval of 1 to 5 hours.

By Long-distance Bus

The road system in Shaoxing is well developed. Many highways and smaller roads lead in all directions, providing convenient transportation to and from Shaoxing. There are five bus stations in Shaoxing:

Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center lies to the east side of the Chang'an Roundabout in Shaoxing. Covering an area of over 70 mu (11.5 acres), the station can hold over 200 buses. Buses here are mainly interprovincial or intercity. They are heading for the main cities of Shandong, Hubei, Jiangsu, Henan, Anhui, Shanghai, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Chongqing etc. The Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center can be reached by Bus No. 8, 12, 13, 17, 23, 26, 27, 32, 35, 88, 312, and 217.

Shaoxing East Bus Station is located at No.516, Ring Road East of Shaoxing City. Buses here are mainly heading for Shangyu, Shengzhou and eastern Shaoxing County. Local buses No. 1, 7, 10, 37, 26, 38 and 25 are available to get to Shaoxing East Bus Station.

Shaoxing West Bus Station is located in the west gate of Shaoxing City. It covers an area of 11 mu (1.8 acres). Here buses heading for Zhuji City of Shaoxing are available. The Shaoxing West Bus Station can be reached by Bus No.10 and No.35.

Shaoxing North Bus Station is located at No.2, Jiefang Road (North) of Shaoxing City. Shaoxing North Bus Station and Shaoxing South Bus Station mainly provide service southerly and northerly to and from Shaoxing County.
