Perfect World

Perfect World Co. Ltd. (Chinese: 完美时空) is a China-based online game company specializing in MMORPGs. The company aims to develop and market games with Chinese characteristics. The company's initial public offering on the NASDAQ Global Select Market was completed in July, 2007.

Beijing Perfect World Co. was founded in 2004 by Chi Yufeng, the president of Human Software Corporation.

In 2009, Perfect World entered into an exclusive agreement to publish Torchlight, an action-RPG in production by U.S. game developer Runic Games, worldwide.

The company focuses on innovative production and has developed many 2D and 2D online games on the basis of its prominent technology and design ability. The games include Perfect World, Wulin, Perfect World International, Legend of Martial Arts, Zhu Xian, Chi Bi, Pocketpet Journey West, Battle of the Immortals and Forsaken World.

With years of capital and technological input, the company has established recognition globally. Now it is expanding its operation overseas and its products has been exported to over 100 countries. It also established subsidiary companies in the United States and the Netherlands.

In addition, the company has diversified its operation. In 2009, it produced its first movie Sophie's Revenge starring Zhang Ziyi and Fan Bingbing.
