Even though it’s the same solar term, weather in different areas of China can differ from one another. So we should eat and drink according to the specific weather to preserve our health. Hereby, the recipes of some “foods and drinks in season” are introduced. Generally, they are suitable for most people to have.

Scrambled Eggs with Tomato

[Ingredients] 300g of Tomatoes, 3 eggs, salt, MSG, chopped scallion pieces and sugar

[Recipe]  Clean the tomatoes, and cut them into pieces in the shape of orange segments  Whip up the eggs  Heat up a shallow frying pan with a little oil, put in the chopped scallion pieces and the egg mixture.  Get the cooked eggs out of the pan, clean the pan and wipe it dry.  Pour a little oil in the pan, put some sugar in the oil and wait until it is melted.  Cook the tomato until it is done.  Mix the cooked egg with the tomato, stir in some salt, MSG and heat through.

[Benefits] This dish can promote the production of bodily fluids, soothe the nerves and relieve thirst.

Boiled White Gourd Balls with Mushroom

[Ingredients] 300g of white gourd, 50g of fresh mushroom, chicken broth, vegetable oil, salt, ginger, MSG and sesame oil.
