Japanese Overseas Chinese celebrate the Anniversary

Japan’s “Chinese Review Weekly” recently published a poem written by an overseas Chinese in Japan about his homesickness at the 60th birthday of China, which aroused the sympathy of all overseas Chinese.

To welcome the 60th Anniversary of the founding of new China, Chinese overseas in Japan held various celebration activities with enthusiasm.

According to the head of the Japan New Overseas Chinese Federation, “Japan Overseas Chinese’s 60th Anniversary Celebration” ceremony will be held in Toyko New Otani Hotel on the evening of September 25, 2009.

At the ceremony, thousands of overseas Chinese representatives will get together to listen to the speech delivered by Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai, and exchange opinions with Japanese representatives from political circles on Japanese policies on China and non-government exchange.

During this time, Overseas Chinese from various fields will also talk about their achievements in Japan.

Ceremony attendants will have an opportunity to enjoy excellent performances given by well-known Chinese actors, artists and musicians and the chorus of the Chinese Embassy.

In addition, more than 10 famous Chinese restaurants will send their professional chefs to offer Chinese-style food with their exquisite cooking skills at the banquet.

Kansai and central Japan will also hold relevant celebration activities for the coming 60th Anniversary.
