"Chinese Calligraphers Association Exhibition in Japan" opening ceremony held in Tokyo

Hosted by the Chinese Calligraphy Association in Japan and Tokyo Chinese Cultural Center, "2014 Chinese Calligraphy Association Exhibition in Japan" was held at Tokyo Chinese Cultural Center on Aug 11. The Chinese Embassy in Japan Consul General Liu Yaming, Chairman of Japan Overseas Chinese Federation Yan An, Director of Tokyo Chinese Cultural Center Ren Shijun, Chairman of Chinese Calligraphers Association in Japan Liu Hongyou delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, which was attended by more than 80 people, including Chinese calligraphers and artists in Tokyo.

The Chinese Calligraphy Association in Japan’s handover ceremony was also held during the opening ceremony. Jin Ou, the association’s new president, expressed his prospects for future development and set new goals.

The Chinese Calligraphy Association in Japan was jointly launched by Liu Hongyou, the dean of the Chinese Calligraphy Institute in Tokyo; Jin Ou, Xiling, a member of Society of Seal Arts; Weilai Wudao, the president of International Journal of celebrity and Gao Xiaofei, the curator of Siyuan Wenwu club. This exhibition seeks to unite overseas Chinese in Japan to show the charm of Chinese calligraphers in Japan.
