The siren song of memories

2014-06-23 14:28:26

(China Daily)

Li Baiming's solo exhibition Hometown displays 20 of his latest ink-and-waterpaintings, in which he applies only black and white to recreate memories of his hometown. With a great passion for detail, he illustrates empty streets and bicycles as well as age-old houses covered by snow. He brings out viewers' nostalgia for their hometowns and a mixed feeling of loneliness, warmth and tranquility.

10 am-6 pm, daily except for Mondays, until July 24. GalleryBeijingSpace, C4, Red Yard, CaochangdiArtZone, Chaoyang district, Beijing. 010-5127-3246.
