American luxury furniture maker Baker recently launched a new collection by renowned French architect and interior designer Jacques Garcia in Beijing.

The collection debuted at the High Point furniture show in the United States last year.

The series in bold color contrasts is inspired by traditional French handicraft and has an innovative take on mechanics.

Brand ambassador James Coughman and Chinese designer T.K. Chu offered their views on Garcia's design philosophy at the launch.

Garcia is best known for his work with hotels and restaurants in Paris. He handled the restoration of the Louvre's collection of 18th-century decorative art.
