Artist Florentijn Hofman's giant rubber duck is attracting visitors to Shanghai’s Jingtian Lake in Pudong District's Century Park, while other residents are witnessing a bountiful harvest outside the city.

In its whirlwind tour of Asia, installations of the duck have already appeared in Hangzhou, Hong Kong and Beijing. While it has spawned a number of imitators, Shanghai's long-awaited unveiling of the authentic duck installment has excited visitors.

The duck will remain at the park until November 23. During the duck's residency, park officials plan to quadruple the park's admission fee, as it is part of a month-long cultural program that features another 14 exhibitions.

It is also time for the harvest, and some Shanghai citizens are taking trips to the suburbs, where a great harvest is happening at the farms. Visitors can see picturesque views and get their hands dirty. They are also able to see the production line where the rice is packed and readied for the market.

It is estimated that there will be nearly 800 kg of rice per hectare at the farms, signaling another great harvest.
