This two-story niche for statues of Buddha in the shape of a palace, dates to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and has a single roof ridge with overhanging eaves, typical of traditional Chinese architectures. Each story has three openings at the front and one on each side. The niche is covered in golden threads and decorated with turquoise.
