China has become an important stop for publicity when it comes to film releases. In 2014, production teams from 10 Hollywood blockbusters flew to China to promote their films. In October alone, three major productions - Hercules, Lucy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - premiered in Beijing. The Maze Runner was also promoted at the Chinese capital in the absence of main cast members.

In the first half of this year, teams from The Amazing Spiderman 2, Transcendence and Captain America 2 all chose Beijing to introduce their films to the Chinese audience.

Hollywood A-listers Johnny Depp, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans flew to China for the events. Hugh Jackman, who stars in X-Men: Days of Future Past, came to Beijing on May 13. It was his second time to China after his film Wolverine.

Academy Awards winner Jennifer Lawrence may visit China for her latest work, The Hunger Games 3, in early November. If everything goes according to schedule, this will be Lawrence's first visit to China.

When in China, eat the Peking Duck

Most Hollywood superstars take the opportunity to appreciate Chinese cuisine during their visit to China. From their past press conferences, Peking Duck seems to be their favorite.

American director Marc Webb, best known for his Spiderman series, said he liked "Beijing Kao Ya (Peking Duck)" very much during his interview this year. He also mentioned that he first tasted the traditional dish eight years ago when he visited Beijing.

Spiderman actor Andrew Garfield and his on- and off-screen girlfriend, Emma Stone, also enjoyed Chinese dishes, including "Peking Duck, chicken wings, beef broth soup, noodles and beef tendons."

Johnny Depp also expressed his liking for Peking Duck as the first Chinese food he had when he visited China during an interview on May 31.

On Oct 16, Dwayne Johnson gave it his all to express his attitude towards China. Upon arriving at the press conference, he showed off his Chinese by saying "Wo Hen Shuai (I am so handsome)", "Da Jia Hao (Hi everyone)" and "Wo Xi Huan Beijing Kao Ya (I like Peking Duck)."
