China Cultural Center and French university to cooperate

The China Cultural Center and Institut Franco-Chinois de Lyon, a French university, jointly signed a cooperative agreement on Nov 5. Su Xu, deputy director of the China Cultural Center in Paris and Jacques de Chilly, director of the Lyon regional development agency, Aderly, attended the signing ceremony.

The Lyon side agreed that the China Cultural Center in Pairs will be a new partner and a member of the senate of Institut Franco-Chinois de Lyon. The China Cultural Center supported the cultural activities, including a Chinese film exhibition and food festival, held at the university and promised to provide Chinese cultural exhibits annually. The two sides announced they will support various cultural activities to be held at the university.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Jacques de Chilly said that the Institut Franco-Chinois de Lyon was glad to strengthen cooperation with the cultural center and will make full use of its cultural resources to introduce Chinese culture to people in Lyon. Su Xu supported various cultural activities that will be held at the university and hoped to deepen understanding and friendship between the two peoples through different activities under the theme of Chinese culture.
