Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang signed his name on the new book at the request of Serbian reader.

The Serbian version of Deng Xiaoping and the Cultural Revolution, A Daughter Recalls the Critical Years, published by the Serbian National Office of Textbooks, held its launch ceremony at the 59th International Belgrade Book Fair. Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang, Serbian National Office of Textbooks director, international relations scholars and professionals attended the ceremony.

The director of the Serbian National Office of Textbooks said in his recommendation speech that Serbian readers desperately wanted to know the developmental path of China from a poor country to the world's second largest economy. He also stressed that this book would serve as constructive teaching material to instruct Serbian readers on modern Chinese history and China’s reform and opening up. It also will provide some experience and inspiration to Serbia in its political, economic and cultural development.
