Young Sinologist program begins in Beijing

18 carefully selected young sinologists from 15 countries will immerse themselves with intensive lessons and  professional discussion and communication exercise in Beijing for nearly three weeks. [photo/Chinaculture.org]

The sinologists will immerse themselves with intensive lessons in Beijing for one week. They will listen to lectures from well-known experts and scholars, such as Li Yining, Ge Jianxiong, Wang Meng, Xu Yuanchong, Guo Jianning and Shan Jixiang, on topics from Social and Economic Developments since China’s Reform and Opening-up, China and Its Borders, Chinese Culture, Sinology and Translation and Chinese Culture and Chinese Dream.

Afterwards, the students will participate in a two-week professional discussion and communication exercise with their counterparts in CASS, the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Palace Museum, National Art Museum of China, Peking University and Beijing Language and Culture University.
