Hundreds of Slovaks and Chinese celebrated here on February 7 the Chinese Spring Festival by holding a public event displaying Chinese traditional culture.
During the celebration, organized by Slovak-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, various activities and performances featuring Chinese culture were conducted.
The Slovak Association of Wushu performed martial arts, while the local tea house "Cajovy Dom" provided the opportunity for visitors to taste Chinese tea.
Chinese Ambassador to Slovakia Pan Weifang, who announced the opening of the event, urged further cooperation and exchanges between China and Slovakia.
"We take Slovakia as a very strategic, important (country) in the central part of Europe," said the diplomat.
