Chinese Cultural Minister Cai Wu hoped Asian countries could deepen cultural exchanges through a widening of dialogue platforms, literature translation, and a broadening of cooperation, while attending the 2013 Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF) held in Hong Kong last month.

At the forum Cai also discussed with Tsang Tak-sing, the Secretary for Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) in Hong Kong and local public figures on future collaborations between the Mainland and Hong Kong.

With the theme of "Literature and Cultural Vibrancy,” cultural ministers and senior officials from 10 Asian countries came together to promote the co-operation and development of culture and the arts.

Launched in 2003, ACCF is one of the Hong Kong government’s key initiatives to foster regional cultural co-operation, while sharing good practices and promoting culture and the arts.
