Artists from various Latin American and Caribbean countries such as Trinidad and Tobago Steel Drum Band, the Mexican Institute of Sound and GANDHI from Costa Rica convened on one stage for the Latin American and Caribbean Music Festival on May 2.

The first Caribbean Latin American Music Festival, which ran from May 1 to 3, is a new addition to the annual "Meet-In-Beijing" Arts Festival, and brought international and Chinese artists to the capital. Featuring world and ethno pop music, the festival brings diversity to Beijing's outdoor festivals such as the Strawberry and Midi Music Festivals.
