Song Poetry: Start of Summer

小花朵

(Source: nipic.com)

Red flags are planted all over on the city gate; the emperor leads his troops, coming back to the city.

Swallows twitter in their new nests; spring flowers are faded so the bees flied away.

Locust trees and willows are luxuriant; through the window I feel a piece of summer.

The sun set and I finished bathing; it is hot so I picked a thin coat.

About the poem: It was summer when the poet came back to the city with his emperor. He felt inspired to write down the changes of flower and birds when summer came.
