The 6th China International Vocal Competition (Ningbo), an initiative of China’s Ministry of Culture, will be held in Ningbo from October 20th to 31st.

The professional vocal competition aims to promote multi-lateral cultural exchanges as well as China’s image overseas.

Singers of all nations - both male and female and between the ages of 18 and 36 - can apply to take part in the event.

The judges will award four prizes in the Male Group, four prizes in the Female Group and two prizes for the Best Performance of Chinese Art Songs (one of which will be awarded to a non-Chinese foreign contestant).

The winner of the first prize in Male Group and Female Group will receive a cash award of  US$20,000.
