Gold incense burner with two ears and four legs

Qing Dynasty

Height: 21.5cm

The square-opening incense burner has two ears, four legs and a bulgy belly, with the ears engraved with fret patterns, the wasp waist engraved with "shou" (longevity) characters, and the belly engraved with two one-legged dragons surrounding a round "shou" character. This incense burner is one of the five articles presented in front of a Buddha image. The five articles include an incense burner, two candlesticks and two vases.
