Water Splashing Festival celebrated in Yunnan

The Dai ethnic people pick up flowers  on a mountain at the Water Splashing Festival in Dehong Prefecture, Southwest China's Yunnan province, April 12, 2013.  The festival is a part of the New Year's celebrations. It is observed as the most important festival by the Dai ethnic people in Yunnan. People splash or pour water  over each other for fun as well as blessing to rinse away sickness and misfortune.  [Photo/chinadaily.com.cn]
